Kando Pulse provides wastewater utilities with unprecedented visibility over their collection networks, enabling them to minimize pollution, reduce costs, and maximize efficiencies.

The solution combines cutting edge wastewater quality sensors and smart samplers with a user-friendly data fusion and analytics software engine, optimized to deliver operational intelligence in real-time.

IoT units collect condition data from inside wastewater collection networks, and transmits them live to Kando’s cloud-based analytics engine. There, proprietary algorithms transform the data into actionable insights, providing real-time visibility of conditions across entire wastewater management systems.

Combining smart wastewater sampling and laboratory analysis, Kando’s wastewater-based epidemiology solution can pinpoint and profile virus outbreaks in specific private and public spaces, effectively monitoring entire populations within a surveyed area without compromising individual privacy.

In the case of COVID-19, because infected persons shed virus RNA in their stool up to 72 hours before developing outward symptoms, wastewater testing can potentially identify outbreaks several days earlier than individual testing practices, buying authorities vital time to contain and manage outbreaks.

Kando’s smart composite samplers continuously monitor wastewater flow rates and other quality parameters in order to optimize sample accuracy. Sampling is done automatically, using field-proven smart samplers. Once gathered, samples are collected and taken to partner labs for analysis using Kando’s protocol for RNA detection, optimized by Israel’s leading researchers in wastewater microbiology. Results and reports from detection analysis are delivered to users via an online data visualization platform, mapping infection patterns and estimating outbreak’s severity within target areas.
